We know a student’s wellness plays a key part in learning. That’s why PM Pediatric Care physical and mental health experts are partnering with school health providers, school counselors and social workers to help support students.
Our programs, led by board-certified pediatric physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, child and adolescent psychologists, therapists, and care managers, work together with schools to help:
- Maximize learning and academic achievement
- Reduce health-related absences
- Improve disciplinary issues and suspension rates
- Intervene early and address Behavioral Health concerns

Mental & Behavioral Health Therapy
- We support school counselors and social workers to help promote early identification with validated screening tools, early intervention of minor conditions, and the evaluation and treatment of more moderate conditions.
- Our team of mental health pediatric providers includes a Psychopharmacologist that can prescribe mental health medications if needed.
- Our high-quality, comprehensive care includes close collaboration with the school, a student’s family/caregiver, and primary care pediatrician.
- Translation services are offered with parents/caregivers in the primary language to ensure all families are well informed and able to access direct communication when needed.
- School Mental Health Consultation & Crisis Program (SMHCP) - Same day/next day crisis consultation and management for students who are referred to PM School Health by school staff.
- Comprehensive Psychiatric Consultations.
Physical Health via Telemedicine
- Our virtual team of pediatric experts can support school health staff with on-demand care during the school day to assist with diagnosis and treatment of mild injuries and illnesses.
- As mental health is an integral part of a student’s health, we include mental health screenings in all of our visits.
- In many states, our care can extend into the home—families can easily access telemedicine via our PM Pediatric Care Telehealth app outside of school hours, helping to reduce health-related absences.
