About Our Services

At PM Mental Health, we provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for children, teens, and families living in Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Texas. From therapy and psychiatry to ADHD evaluations and parent coaching, we’re here to support your family through life’s emotional and behavioral challenges.

We treat mild to moderate behavioral and mental health concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, behavioral challenges, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and PTSD, and support for those going through family stress and life transitions. Currently, we do not provide evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We provide individual and group therapy, psychiatry services, medication management (to ensure safe, effective treatment), and parent coaching. We also offer written ADHD evaluations and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups, a skills-based therapy for teens and young adults managing strong emotions or impulsive behaviors.

We support children (ages 5+), tweens, teens, and young adults, as well as the parents and caregivers who care for them.

Our mental health services are built on the collaborative care model and we’re happy to coordinate with other providers to ensure your family gets the best care possible.

Yes. Our written ADHD evaluations for kids and teens help families in Florida, New Jersey, New York, and Texas better understand if attention challenges, hyperactivity symptoms, and impulsivity is related to ADHD. A comprehensive written evaluation empowers parents to make informed decisions and results may be used to develop educational and/or behavioral intervention plans with your school and health care providers. a. Therapist is a general term that refers to professionals trained to provide talk therapy (also called psychotherapy). They help children and families manage emotional challenges, cope with stress, and build healthy skills.

b. Psychologist is a type of therapist who holds a doctoral degree in psychology. Psychologists are trained to provide therapy and may also do psychological testing to help understand your child’s strengths, challenges, or diagnoses. They do not prescribe medication.

c. Psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in mental health. Psychiatrists can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe and manage medications, and may also offer some therapy. They are especially helpful when symptoms might involve biological or medical factors, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, or mood disorders.

Choosing the provider that’s right for your family depends on what your child is experiencing. If your child needs support working through emotions, behaviors, or life challenges, starting with a pediatric therapist or psychologist is often a great first step. If you’re considering medication or wondering whether it might help, a psychiatrist can evaluate and guide that part of care. At PM Mental Health, we work as a team — so we’ll help you figure out the right starting point and connect you to the best provider for your child’s needs.

Yes, we currently have providers that speak Bengali, English, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Spanish.
