Physician Training & Fellowship Programs at PM Pediatric Care
In 2012, PM Pediatric Care developed the first-of-its-kind fellowship in Pediatric Urgent Care Medicine, designed for pediatric residency graduates and experienced pediatricians with a goal to become clinical experts and leaders in Pediatric Urgent Care Medicine. To date, we have successfully trained over 30 fellows. Our training programs enhance the clinician’s ability to practice in a high acuity, fast-paced, and academically stimulating environment. Additionally, PM Pediatric Care offers continuing education and leadership opportunities to facilitate growth as an urgent care specialist throughout our fellows’ careers.
For Recent Pediatric Residency Graduates
Pediatric Urgent Care Physician Training Program
- 1-week Pediatric Urgent Care “Boot Camp”
- 3-6 months working alongside our experienced pediatric urgent care specialists
- Supplemented with high-yield online learning modules in radiology, injury, EBM approach to illness, and efficiency
- Hands-on procedural training
For Experienced Pediatricians (minimum 3-5 years post-residency experience)
Pediatric Urgent Care Accelerated Training Program
- 1-week Pediatric Urgent Care “Boot Camp”
- 2-3 months working alongside our experienced pediatric urgent care specialists
- High-yield online learning modules in radiology, injury, EBM approach to illness, and efficiency
- Hands-on procedural training
For Prospective Leaders (available to graduates of Training Program)
Leadership in Pediatric Urgent Care Fellowship
- 9 month program that includes dedicated leadership training in managing human capital, organizational leadership, business strategy, academics, and patient experience.
- Offered to those who have successfully completed one of our Pediatric Urgent Care training programs, and are interested in gaining exposure in all aspects of our rapidly expanding practice combined with focused leadership training
For Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
NP/PA Pediatric Urgent Care Medicine Fellowship
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Physician Assistant (PA) fellowship is an exciting opportunity for post-graduate NPs and PAs who wish to enter the emerging field of Pediatric Urgent Care Medicine. The fellowship will allow both NPs and PAs to develop the knowledge base to provide patient care for acute illnesses and injuries in an outpatient pediatric urgent care setting.
January – June Fellowships: Applications accepted through August 31.
July – December Fellowships: Applications accepted through February 28.
