Dafina Belot is a Licensed Master Social Worker dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care for children, teens, and families. She utilizes evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and strengths-based interventions, to support young people in overcoming life’s challenges. With a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective, Dafina helps clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, and life transitions while fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice, trauma informed care, child development, and family systems. Drawing from her experience as both a teacher and child/family therapist, Dafina brings a unique understanding of the complexities of growing up and the importance of a supportive environment. She is committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and build essential coping skills.
Beyond her clinical work, Dafina is passionate about holistic wellness, incorporating mindfulness and creative expression into therapy to help clients connect with their emotions in meaningful ways.
