PM Pediatric Care Receives 2024 Health Care Heroes Award for Innovative School Health Program

Lake Success, NY (January 10, 2025) – PM Pediatric Care, the nation’s largest provider of pediatric urgent care and leader in pediatric behavioral health, has received the 2024 Long Island Business News Health Care Heroes Award. This recognition honors Dr. Jeanne Marconi and PM Pediatric Care for their commitment to delivering quality mental and behavioral care to Long Island students.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Dr. Marconi, VP of Clinical Integration and School Health at PM Pediatric Care, led the company’s efforts to address escalating mental health challenges and support K-12 student wellness through partnership with nine Long Island school districts, providing behavioral health screening, therapy, psychiatric consultations, and on-demand CRISIS consultations. Dr. Marconi also facilitated the design of faculty professional development, including important education on topics such as trauma-informed care and conflict resolution.

PM Pediatric Care’s School Health Program provides immediate access to assessment, intervention, and follow-up care, while demonstrating strong outcomes such as reduced ER usage for behavioral health concerns, and support in decreasing absenteeism and dropout rates.

“I proudly share this award with our team and district partners who work tirelessly to establish innovative programs that help youth achieve their academic best,” said Dr. Jeanne Marconi.

“The 2024 Health Care Heroes go above and beyond to improve the quality of health care on Long Island,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/Long Island Business News. “We are honored to celebrate these outstanding members of the Long Island health care community.”
