Meet our school health team

Alina Serrano is a licensed clinical social worker and Clinical Therapy Director for School Health services at PM Pediatric Care. She believes all beings are to know themselves as “whole, perfect, and complete”. It is her mission to support others, specifically young people, in identifying their strengths and unique qualities.

Alina supports her clients through learning how to manage their emotions and life circumstances. With a keen listening ear and a compassionate strategic approach, she will inspire, motivate, and coach you through your hardest emotions as well as the best choices and practices for your life. Her motto is “Step by step we do our best!”.

Dr. Evelyn Ashiofu is a double board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with extensive training in both child and adult psychiatry. She believes in a holistic approach to treating children, considering all biological, psychological, and social factors to ensure comprehensive and individualized care. Dr. Ashiofu is passionate about understanding each child’s unique needs and works collaboratively with families to develop tailored treatment plans that promote lasting well-being. Her dedication to mental health extends beyond the clinic; she is actively involved in educating future psychiatrists and addressing systemic issues such as racism and discrimination in youth mental health.

With her empathetic approach, commitment to evidence-based care, and focus on treating the whole child, Dr. Ashiofu aims to empower young patients and their families to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.

Miriam Arthur is a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker with a variety of clinical experience including preschools, hospital-neonatal units, child health programs, and agencies. She has helped children through intergenerational trauma, grief, parent-child relationship, traumatic life events, developmental delays, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, sensory difficulties, medical trauma, domestic violence experience, and familial substance use.

Elizabeth Cennamo is a Licensed Master Social Worker for PM Pediatric Care School Health. She previously provided therapeutic services within the NYCDOE and NYC Department of Corrections, working with at-risk/truant youth and young adults, students with IEPS, individuals involved in the criminal justice system and/or with court-involvement, dual- diagnosis, psychosis, harm-reduction, and SI/SIB.

Elizabeth possesses a therapeutic approach that is candid, reality-based, un-prejudiced, collaborative, in-depth, and inclusive. She prides herself on being an active listener who strives to not only listen to her clients but also acknowledges that they need to be heard. Elizabeth carries an empathetic approach, providing effective feedback, therapeutic tools, and coping skills, and strives to always provide a non-judgmental, open-minded, and empowered perspective in a confidential and safe space.

She attended and received her BS in Psychology from the University of Tampa and completed her Master of Social Work from New York University.

Erin Forsberg is the Clinical Scheduler for PM Pediatric Care School Health, responsible for coordinating appointments and managing schedules for the students and school health team. Erin graduated from Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Science and has a background in psychology, biology, and healthcare fields. She is passionate about supporting mental health and student well-being and is grateful to work alongside Baldwin Schools Wellness Center team.

Jamie Garcia is a Licensed Practical Nurse with a diverse background in healthcare. With hands-on experience across various settings, Jamie has worked as a school nurse, providing essential care and support to students, and has delivered compassionate home health services to patients in their own homes. Additionally, she has contributed to family health clinics, offering comprehensive care to individuals and families.

Ines Guevara is a school health care coordinator with a background in accounts payable and administrative support. Her blend of health care coordination and administrative expertise enables her to effectively support the well-being of students and staff.

Brittny Hall is a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with extensive experience working with young adults and children. She has worked with individuals on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), provided support through Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs), and supported those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles.

Brittny offers a collaborative, client-centered approach and uses various therapeutic techniques, including DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing, to tailor her support to each person’s unique needs. Brittny creates a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. With a passion for mental health and personal growth, Brittny is committed to providing personalized care that fosters healing and positive change.

Angela Heffner, Psychiatry APRN, is a Medication Management Provider with PM Pediatric Care School Health. She has devoted herself to the welfare of children, adolescents, and young adults, aiding those with mental health disorders with an unwavering commitment to effecting positive change in their lives.

Her tenure as a school nurse, coupled with the mental health needs of her own children inspired her specialization in psychiatric care. Driven by a profound passion for aiding others, Angela has a wealth of expertise, with certifications in certified school nursing (CSN), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), perinatal loss/bereavement, perinatal mental health (PMH-C), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT-C).

Katie Ralph is a Licensed Master Social Worker, specializing in providing crisis therapy to children and families in immediate need. She is passionate about incorporating strength-based modalities that empower children and teens to feel more confident navigating difficult times. Katie believes in the importance of psychoeducation, building on clients’ existing strengths, and creating an environment where those with more energy can engage in therapy through movement and play. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Binghamton University and her Master of Social Work from Columbia University.

Laken Shelton is a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience in individual psychotherapy, family therapy, client-centered case management, bio-psycho-social assessments, early intervention work, and discharge planning in school and clinic-based settings.

She has experience utilizing a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach to address anxiety, depression, self-harming and disruptive behaviors, and symptoms of trauma. She is committed to developing a space of felt safety to support clients in developing goals and feeling empowered. Laken received her Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Baylor University.

Dominique Zummo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience addressing anxiety, depression, grief, and self-harm in various settings such as schools, therapy, and case management. She is deeply committed to creating a secure environment where clients can comfortably pursue their treatment goals. Employing a blend of self-determination and strengths-based techniques, she guides children and their families in identifying effective pathways to achieve their desired objectives.

Melissa Buceti is a Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA) and has been working with children and families in the behavioral health field for more than six years. She began as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), providing 1:1 services to children with special needs. Later, Ms. Buceti became a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), supporting families by providing caregiver training and supervision for therapists. She has extensive experience conducting assessments, writing treatment plans, and providing caregivers weekly training.

Laura del Castillo is a bilingual life/parent coach with a master’s degree in psychology that has worked with kids, teenagers, and adults. Her ability for empathy, compassion and active listening will build a safe space for you to show up as you are. She will support you while you navigate through the challenges and joys of parenting, and guide you towards connection with yourself and your kids. With a gentle approach, she will walk alongside your journey to being the best version of yourself, not only for your kids, but also for yourself.

Laura holds bachelors and master’s degrees in Psychology, with certifications from the Conscious Parenting Coaching Method from Oprah’s favorite parenting expert, Dr. Shefali, the Fair Play Facilitator Method created by Eve Rodsky, C.P.C. as a Parental Leave Coach, and a Mindfulness Stress Reduction Therapy Certification by Dave Potter’s Palouse Mindfulness.

Erin Taylor is a PCI Certified Parent Coach, motivational speaker, host of the Powerful Parenting for Today’s Kids podcast, author, and a mother of four teens. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drexel University and her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Loyola University. For the past 25 years, Erin has been helping parents understand, communicate and connect better with their children, creating a more peaceful, pleasant and joyful home.
