LAKE SUCCESS, NY – February 9, 2015 – PM Pediatrics, one of the nation’s largest providers of pediatric urgent care, in conjunction with the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care, will present the first conference dedicated exclusively to the care of pediatric patients in an urgent care setting. The 2015 Pediatric Urgent Care Conference will be held at the Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, FL from Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24. It will kick off with a one-day preconference (April 22), “How To Start Your Own Urgent Care,” followed by a two-day conference (April 23 and April 24) featuring three concurrent tracks: a basic clinical, an advanced clinical, and a business track.
The first annual Pediatric Urgent Care Conference is designed to improve the clinical and procedural skills of caregivers of all levels, as well as to provide a foundation for the necessary tools of running a successful pediatric urgent care practice. The preconference will focus on developing and opening a pediatric urgent care practice. The conference will be led by nationally recognized experts in Pediatric Urgent Care, general healthcare, and business practice. Lectures will be supplemented with time for small group discussions. In addition, workshops will allow for hands on training of various clinical and procedural skills.
“We are proud to provide caregivers across the country with a comprehensive, specialized and unprecedented introduction to the practice of pediatric urgent care,” said, Dr. Jeffrey Schor, founder of PM Pediatrics, and board member of the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care. “An essential part of the PM Pediatrics mission is to be at the forefront of quality pediatric education as the healthcare needs of today’s families continue to evolve. We look forward to partnering with the Society for Pediatric Urgent Care to provide a unique and valuable experience by the most renowned experts in the field.”
